Martine was set to have a busy summer, she notches up 30 years in business this summer and as a double whammy, she was set to have a large exhibition running for ten weeks at Lakeside Arts Centre (University of Nottingham).

The subject matter for the show was created in 2019, when she’d had the privilege of working for Yale University Press to shoot one of the famed Pevsner titles,  and in her home county as well. The series, entitled Buildings of England, was originally written by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner in the 1930’s. Nottinghamshire was last updated in 1979, and  Martine worked with Yale’s team and the writer Clare Hartwell on the new, enlarged update which runs to 896 pages.

The publication was going to coincide with the show, however due to Covid-19, the book is still coming out (slightly later than planned in September) but the show has sadly been postponed until next summer instead. The 89 images are ready, framed and sadly now in storage. It may be another 12 months before they hang, but Martine would like to still take the opportunity to thank The University of Nottingham, the team at Lakeside Arts Centre, Custom Frames and Nottingham Trent University for their help and significant support in the preparation to date.
