Martine was invited by STO Werkstadt to be part of a panel chaired by Paul Finch – Programme Director for the World Architecture Festival held at The Lever Gallery in London on March 7th on the theme of ‘Building Images”.

The gallery was packed and the debate lively, Martine steered her discussion towards the management of expectations of commercial clients versus the realities of trying to shoot with non-professional models in situations where access was difficult and the weather even more so. This is always to be factored against budgetary constraints. Some of the conversations was idealistic; wonderful architecture with limitless budgets does result in incredible image-making for sure, but real life, certainly from Martine’s perspective over the last 3 decades, rarely brings such limitless opportunities.

Fascinating, and a real treat to be part of an event like this. Thank you STO!
