August 19th saw the launch of the RIBA 50/50 show at Nottingham Contemporary- a cracking event, where  local chair of the RIBA steering group Hannah Minton spoke to some 200 guests about the project and its intentions of bringing architecture to a wider audience. Paul Davis, vice president of the RIBA said that he felt that the show highlighted the fact that “there are more architects in the UK than just Norman Foster and Richard Rogers, and promoting the work of less famous people who are doing fantastic work is very important”.

Martine was personally thanked for her hard work and contribution- in addition to photographing some of the historic buildings afresh, she sponsored images from her twenty year collection for inclusion, in order to make sure that the overall quality and cohesiveness of the images on display was of the highest calibre.
